Frequently Asked Questions

Are you accepting new clients? 
Yes, we currently have immediate daytime and evening availability.  However, we may not be able to accommodate all requests (i.e. specific clinician or day/time preferences). In periods of high demand or if we are unable to satisfy your requests, prospective clients are added to our wait list and will be contacted once an opening becomes available.

Do you accept insurance?
Yes, we currently accept a variety of insurance plans, including Aetna, CareFirst BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, Johns Hopkins Healthcare, and United Healthcare. We do NOT currently accept Medicaid or Medicare.

How much does it cost?
Our biller will reach out and notify you about your copay, deductible, or co-insurance amount prior to your first session. You are also able to contact your insurance provider to confirm your out of pocket expenses for Outpatient Mental Health Services. 

Do you offer sliding scale rates?
For those without insurance or seeking more affordable care, we also offer sliding-scale pricing or reduced-rate sessions provided by our highly trained clinical interns, under the supervision of licensed professionals. 

How long does each therapy session take?
Intake sessions are typically 55 to 60 minutes long. A standard session ranges from 30 to 55 minutes. Sessions for children typically run 30 to 45 minutes. Adult sessions usually run 53 to 58 minutes.

Do I need to be present for my child's session?
As child therapists, we are dedicated to supporting our child clients and that includes the health of the family.  As such, we periodically check-in with caregivers to provide progress updates and feedback when appropriate. The frequency of this will depend on the child's age and needs. Caregivers are required to attend a portion of the intake session in order to consent for services.

Do you provide in-person or telehealth sessions?
Yes, we provide both in-person and virtual appointments.
